Before the week begins.
That is when I wanted this to arrive. Before the calendar fills, before the decisions start stacking, before the weight of what you are carrying settles back in after the weekend.
Monday morning. When everything is still possible and nothing has gone wrong yet.
I have been building something for the past two years — quietly, intentionally, and with the conviction that the builders I most admire are not lacking strategy or capital or ambition. They are lacking a space that takes the whole of them seriously.
The faith. The business. The economics. The community. The private tension between what success looks like from the outside and what it costs on the inside.
That is what The Well is for. And this letter is its weekly expression.
Every Monday morning, I will send you something short. Grounded in scripture. Connected to the real experience of building something significant while trying to remain whole in the process.
Not a devotional. Not a business newsletter. Not a motivational note.
Something more like what happens when a trusted voice sits across from you and says: I see what you are carrying. Here is what I know about it.
This week I have been sitting with Ephesians 2:10.
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
The word translated as workmanship is the Greek word poiema. A crafted work. A masterpiece. The same root from which we get the English word poem.
You are not a project God is still figuring out. You are a finished work — created, intentioned, and prepared. The works were not generated by your ambition. They were prepared before you arrived. Before the first deal, the first hire, the first failure, the first win.
Your assignment is not to invent the vision. It is to seek the One who prepared it, find the path, and walk in it.
Not strive into it. Not hustle toward it. Walk in it — the settled, unhurried movement of someone who knows who sent them and what they were sent to do.
The question I want to leave you with this week:
Where are you striving right now — and what would it look like to walk instead?
Not a rhetorical question. A real one. Sit with it somewhere quiet before Thursday arrives and the week has made up its mind without you.
